KEEIRA LYN FORD WINS SOUTHWEST REGIONAL FINAL OF THE TEXACO COUNTRY SHOWDOWN

 

Keeira Lyn FordKeeira Lyn Ford, the Arizona State Winner, walked away with the Southwest Regional Title, as well as an all-expense paid trip to the National Final of the 30thAnnual Texaco Country Showdown in Nashville, Tennessee. The Historic Shuler Theater in Raton, NM hosted the event and showcased seven other acts, which had won their local and state competitions. They were: Dumptruck Butterlips (KMXN-Lawrence), Katey Laurel (KCCY-Colorado Springs), Jeremy Collins Band (KTFX-Muskogee), Hatti Bridges (KWRD/KPXI- Henderson), Kimberly Dunn (KORA-Bryan), Keeira Lyn Ford (KNIX-Phoenix), Nicole Unser (KBKZ-Raton), and Cody Brunette (KMRK-Odessa).

 

Before advancing to the state level, Keeira Lyn Ford won her local competition representing KNIX in Phoenix. She is a multi-faceted singer, songwriter, and actress. Keeira Lyn Ford has also teamed with stars such as Garth Brooks and Vince Gill. On a recent concert tour, Vince Gill accompanied her on guitar while she sang Patty Loveless’ Blame it on Your Heart. As one of the five Regional Winners from across the country, Keeira Lyn Ford will compete for $100,000 and the coveted National Title, “Best New Act in Country Music” at the world-famous Ryman Auditorium on January 26, 2012.

 

Keeira receives an all-expense-paid trip to the National Final in Nashville to compete for $100,000 and the coveted title, “Best New Act in Country Music.”
